Why Now

Three converging trends make this the right moment.

Three vectors meeting in 2026

1. Agentic development crossed the threshold

Tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Devin are no longer “assistants.” They are operators. A senior engineer can credibly run two or three agents in parallel — provided they have a way to direct them. The skill ceiling moved from “type fast” to “delegate well.”

2. Distributed teams stopped being optional

Post-2020, the question stopped being “will the team be remote” and became “will every team be remote, or only some.” Game studios that swore by VDI are watching their best people leave for companies that don’t require an office. A latency-tolerant remote workflow is now a recruiting weapon.

3. The Anthropic ecosystem is open at the right layer

Claude Code, MCP, and the Agent SDK form an unusual ecosystem: opinionated enough to compose against, open enough to extend. The entry point for a coworking platform is no longer “build everything.” It’s “compose around what already works.”

The window

These three vectors won’t intersect this cleanly forever. The companies that own the next coworking primitive will likely be defined by who shows up before the category has a name.

We think it’s reasonable to try.
